Obituary for Shirley J. Drumm

Shirley J. Drumm, 83, of Enfield, CT entered into eternal peace and met with her savior on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Born December 6, 1933 in Ft. Smith, AR to Vernon G. Koontz and Marghery Koontz, Shirley later moved to California, finishing elementary and middle school there. She then moved to Washington State where she finished high school in Yakima, WA. She was married at age 18 to Virgil L. Drumm and lived in Duvall, WA the majority of her life. They raised 3 children, Lori, Margie, and Vaughn. Shirley was very active in her church, the Duvall Evangelical Methodist Church. She sewed and knitted blankets, shawls, and gave donations to the homeless shelter in Seattle, WA, as well as missionaries from her church. She was loved by her family and friends both in Duvall, WA and in her CT home, which she moved to in 2012 to be with her son and grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Virgil L. Drumm, and her sister, Sandy. Shirley is survived by her sister, LuWanna Airheart, her children, Lorelie Moore, Margie Halgren and husband Bob, and Vaughn Drumm and wife Trish, and her grandchildren, Jon Moore, Joshua Drumm and wife Michelle, Sammuel Drumm, Noah Drumm, Michael Drumm and Noel Drumm, Shirley was a kind and gentle soul who taught us to love unconditionally. She leaves us with many endearing happy memories.
