Janina Z. "Jenny" Kucner, 88, of East Windsor, widow of Leon Kucner, entered into eternal peace Monday, July 3, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.Born and raised in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Paulina (Pirzecki) Bulgajewski. She lived in East Windsor since 1959 and was a communicant of St. Philip Church. Jenny was retired from Aetna Insurance after several years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking home-made meals for family and friends, especially during the holidays. She treasured the time spent with her family, specifically her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Mary St. George and her husband Mark of Stafford Springs, Joseph Kucner of Vernon; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Kucner of Avon; two brothers, Stefan Bulgajewski and his wife Louise of Enfield, Charlie Bulgajewski and his wife CeCelia of Windsor Locks; three grandchildren, Mark St. George Jr., Diane Klein and her husband Will, and Joseph Kucner, a great granddaughter, Amelia Klein; a sister-in-law, Irene Bulgajewski of Broad Brook; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, William and Ted Bulgajewski, and two sisters, Ewelina Smolen and Edwina Markunas. Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday July 7, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Family and friends may gather at 9:00 a.m. Saturday July 8, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels for a procession to St. Philip Church in East Windsor for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
